About the Team
The Mortgage Rewards Team is a unique combination of interests, talents and skills. The team is composed of six members: Four Senior Mortgage Bankers and two Mortgage Bankers.
Though 99% of our business is in the Southeast, we are capable of closing loans in all 50 states.
Offering over 60 years of home lending experience, members of this unique team are recognized as experts in home finance. One member of the team was asked by a large nationally recognized mortgage lender last year to serve as a member of its loan product national advisory committee, another is a member of the Carolina Newswire’s Expert’s Corner on Homeownership and Home Finance. All three Senior Mortgage Bankers have previous Mortgage Management experience.
This team is active with educational workshops for homebuyers and current homeowners wanting to get the right home loan, and supporting the local real estate community by holding educational seminars that will enhance the service agents can provide to homebuyers and sellers. Plus, a portion of each transaction closed with team goes into "the Kitty”, to support community projects such as our LOANS THAT HELP project with the Salvation Army.
Each member of the team has received specialized training on gathering and analyzing a consumer’s home financing information and advising borrowers on ways to make a good home loan decision. When you work with one member of the Mortgage Rewards Team, you get the support, knowledge and resources of every member of the team!
Meet the Team
Senior Mortgage Banker cearnhardt@mortgagerewardsteam.com Chris is a native of Greensboro, NC. He moved to Raleigh shortly after graduating from college. He and his wife Tara live in Apex. Chris has been in the mortgage business for the past 10+ years. In 2006, Chris formed the Mortgage Rewards Team with George Maddox. He has an extensive knowledge of loan programs from 100% USDA loans to investment loans for owners of multiple properties. He is an active member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Raleigh Mortgage Bankers Association, the North Carolina Association of Mortgage Professionals, the National Association of Mortgage Professionals, the National Association of Mortgage Brokers, and the Homebuilders Finance and Accounting Professionals Network.

Senior Mortgage Banker gmaddox@mortgagerewardsteam.com George joined a locally owned mortgage company in 1999 and became its Raleigh Branch Manager in 2005. In 2006, he and Chris Earnhardt formed the Mortgage Rewards Team. With over 10 years of mortgage business experience George has the ability and knowledge to help customers determine which loan will work best for them and their family. He is an active member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Raleigh Mortgage Bankers Association, the North Carolina Association of Mortgage Professionals, the National Association of Mortgage Professionals, and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

Senior Mortgage Banker thowell@mortgagerewardsteam.com Theresa joined the Mortgage Rewards Team in 2007. Though she has been in the business for less than a little less than 7 years, Theresa has shown her customers that she has a product knowledge level of someone who has spent many a year in the mortgage industry. She is an expert in USDA and FHA loans. She is an active member of the Raleigh Mortgage Bankers Association.

Mortgage Banker lpoole@mortgagerewardsteam.com Lee Poole is a Raleigh native. After graduating from North Carolina State University in 1999, he worked for Jefferson Pilot Financial while managing his family’s multiple investment property businesses. In 2005, Lee decided to put the knowledge he gained in both fields and became a Mortgage Banker. In 2006, he became a member of the Mortgage Rewards Team. Lee is an active member of the Knightdale Chamber of Commerce.

Mortgage Banker wking@mortgagerewardsteam.com Wayne is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. He moved to Raleigh in 1995. In 1995 Wayne became a mortgage loan officer. Wayne is an expert with investment property financing. He joined the Mortgage Rewards Team in 2009.
